About me

Hi!

I'm a software engineer who enjoys working across the stack. For the past five years, that has typically meant JavaScript/TypeScript frontends and PHP or Node backends connected to SQL databases, but frameworks are frameworks, patterns are patterns and you learn the tools and systems necessary to solve problems as the problems present themselves.

Most recently, I’ve done that as part of a team of developers building and maintaining commercial Web applications at software development agencies, contributing to successful project launches for multiple clients. We took successful projects from idea to production, maintained existing applications, and occasionally even fixed messes not of our own making.

Below are some of the student or side projects I've worked on. Professionally, I'm proud to have contributed to Scholar Education, an AI-driven learning platform currently serving multiple schools in Florida; and Industry Genome, an application that synthesizes the economy into a classification system based around industries and companies and attempts to provide granular, point-in-time financial data; as well as a number of other projects that are not public-facing.

I'm always interested in interesting work. If you're looking a talented developer who will make your whole team better, let's talk!

Finding release dates for games is harder than it needs to be.

The easiest thing to do is Google it, but that's a gamble: You might get a Featured Snippet with the release date, or you might get a half-dozen links to articles that may or may not have the information, and then you have to read.

The information's out there, but it's buried behind a lot of clicks and forms. Why isn't there just a calendar, like my Google calendar, that just shows you what's coming out and what's recently come out?

Now there is!

Three Lies and the Truth

Is macaroni named after a person? Did Ben Franklin invent the charcoal grill? Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? This quiz, built in a couple of days, makes use of randomization and short play sessions to encourage replay and diversity of player experience.

You've always done excellent work and are the most compassionate developer I've ever worked with.
- Michal Mazur, senior on my former team

I had the pleasure of working with Brad for three years, during which time he made an exceptional impact on our team and projects. His technical skillset grew remarkably, evolving from proficient to highly advanced, which was both impressive and inspiring to witness.

Brad is not only a great team player but also someone who takes initiative. I frequently relied on him for his deep knowledge, clear communication, and outstanding technical abilities, all of which made him an invaluable resource to our team.

It’s rare to find someone with such a balanced mix of technical skill, reliability, and collaborative spirit.
